This position plays a critical role in both advising the brand leadership as well as identifying, prioritizing and delivering technology projects that support Tom Fords near term and long-term growth opportunities. The Tom Ford Brand Technology Leader will help influence the Brand strategy via technology thought leadership and deliver solutions that drive competitive advantage and growth. In addition, this person will act as a matrix manager to domain-related solution delivery team leaders based at corporate and in the regions. The leader plays an important role in contributing to talent planning and supports the talent process.
This is a true business technology leadership role requiring a point of view and the ability to make proactive recommendations and drive results. This position will provide thought leadership, management and oversight of all technology solutions for the brand and will be accountable for all brand technology investments, as well as managing the Tom Ford technology portfolio including innovation initiatives.
The Tom Ford Brand Technology Lead position is one of the most senior roles in the IT organization. Hence, the leader such plays a very important role ensuring that the brand strategies and technology needs are well understood and acted upon across the GIS organization. The position requires strong communication, lateral influencing skills and business acumen.
This position is based in New York City and reports into the SVP Global Brand Technologies with a matrix relationship to the President of Tom Ford.
Responsible for all brand technology plans and investments and sets the technology strategy for the brand in collaboration with the Brand President.
Mobilizes teams (Pods) who solution and deliver enabling technologies for the brand and is accountable for the technology teams that delivers innovative, strategic business solutions to the Tom Ford Brand. These solutions must be consistent with both the corporate AND brand strategic objectives and aligned with the IT strategy and architecture. Drives an Agile mindset and delivery culture
Remains well connected with other brand, region and technology leaders and is continuously informing the brand leadership of new opportunities to leverage technology from across ELC and to bring innovative solutions to Tom Ford.
Responsible for enabling brand specific marketing and consumer insights through technology and driving this capability across the brand teams. Ensures the strategic agenda is serviced by strong data and analytic capabilities including data science, analytics and ongoing technology support.
Works effectively across the GIS organization to ensure brand strategies and enabling technology needs are well understood and incorporated in our GIS strategy.
Responsible for the brand IT budget and must have strong financial management skills to ensure there is clear visibility to IT value delivered commensurate to technology invested.
Excellent business technology leadership skills and demonstrated experience with delivering business outcomes enabled by technology
Must demonstrate a high sense of urgency to influence changes and drive outcomes from conception to delivery
Act as a Brand technology thought leader and business leader demonstrating outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, ability to influence and provide technology thought leadership to the Brand leadership and act as a trusted advisor.
Work effectively in a highly matrixed and complex organization. Demonstrates collaborative relationship building skills with various internal and external stakeholders, strong lateral influencing ability.
Hands on experience and demonstrated success in leading web, mobile and social solutions delivery.
Expertise in technology design/architecture and implementation. Key domain areas include, but not limited, are: Retail, Consumer; Supply Chain and Analytics.
Demonstrated thought leadership and expertise in data analytics, especially consumer data analytics. Drive outstanding insights and innovative game-changing opportunities through data science and analytics
Deep experiences leading Agile delivery and advocacy
Competent in new technology evaluation, ability to support technical change management and provide thought leadership skills in integration technologies, tools and services
Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities
Strong depth in retail and marketing technologies and all aspects of enabling amazing retail experiences through technology.
Collaborative relationship building skills with various internal and external stakeholders, strong lateral influencing ability is a must.
Broad global experience and exposure to markets and cultures throughout the world.
